  63rd Annual Stilwell Strawberry Festival :
 

The Stilwell Strawberry Festival has been around since 1948. It is always held on the second Saturday in May and is a huge event in the town of Stilwell.

This year the Festival parade will start at 10:00 a.m. proceeding down Main Street with the crowning of Stilwell's newly chosen Strawberry Festival Queen following. At 2:00 there will be a auction of the finest Stilwell strawberries. The traditional serving of free cake and ice cream, with Stilwell strawberries begins at 3:00 p.m. 

Many vendors come and showcase their talents and craftsmanship during the festival. If anyone visiting this site is interested in setting up a stand, just choose your area of interest and all of the information available will be listed. Come join in the fun in STILWELL, OKLAHOMA.

PRE-FESTIVAL EVENTS

A Carnival featuring exciting rides and midway games begins on Wednesday. All ages will find entertainment each night till Saturday's close at 11:00 P.M.

The Stilwell Roundup Club sponsors the Strawberry Festival Rodeo each night at 8:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday.  The Rodeo Grounds are located two miles North of Stilwell on Highway 59 North.

FESTIVAL DAY

7:00 A.M.     Second Street is from North end to Highway 100 West on the South Division Street is closed from First Street to Fourth Street.  No thru traffic allowed.

7:30 A.M.     5-K RUN FOR THE BERRIES (Check in/start line at First Christian Church on Second Street.

8:00 - 10:00 A.M.     LIVE LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT (Bandstand).

9:00 A.M.       PARADE CHECK IN STARTS (In front of Ed's Auto Parts 1020 North Second Street).

10:00 A.M.      STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PARADE STARTS on Second Street (By City Ordinance, no throwing of objects from vehicles entered in the parade please).

FOLLOWING THE PARADE THE QUEEN CORONATION CEREMONIES WILL BE HELD AT THE BANDSTAND AND THE FLOAT CONTEST WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED.

12:00 -5:30 P.M.     LIVE ENTERTAINMENT (Bandstand).

2:00 P.M.      Awards and Auctioning of the Champion Berry Growers.

3:00 P.M.     Free Strawberries and Ice Cream Served Courtesy of Stilwell KIWANIS.

ALL DAY -- Arts and Crafts booths open on Division Street and surrounding areas.  Food booths and various merchandise vendors all thru town.

EVENING -- All School Reunion at Stilwell High School -- Rodeo North of City -- Pow Wow at Maryetta School grounds -- Carnival -- Quilting Contest
